Acer today presented the new Veriton N260G, a sleek diamond shaped-nettop rich of upscale components and useful software designed for optimal computing performance at low energy cconsumption and maintenance costs.
Perfect for small offices, classrooms, libraries, demo/showrooms, hotel countertops or airline check-in kiosks, the Veriton N260G strikes the right balance between maximum productivity and efficiency. Owing to its ultra-compact size (just 1 liter!) the Veriton N260g uses space with utmost effectiveness whether placed on its stand or attached on the back of selected Acer monitors.
The Veriton N260G is driven by power efficient Intel® Atom™ processor, that combined with Intel® GN40 Express Chipset provides the optimal platform for basic computing needs and Internet usage. With up to 2GB of memory, a large HDD and a fine graphic solution, the Veriton N260G can handle office tasks with ease as well as play high quality videos and enjoy sharp and well defined images. Thanks to the HDMI port the Veriton N260G ensures high definition viewing on a wide range of peripherals.
A screw-less chassis makes the maintenance of the Veriton N260G a totally trouble-free operation, while a clever design ensures a neat cable management avoiding tangles. When attached to the rear of a monitor, the power button peeks over the display for easy access.
Running more energy efficient systems helps the environment while reducing costs. The Veriton N260G integrates a low power demanding processor and can run on just enough computing power through Acer PowerSmart technology. On top of it, the Veriton N260G complies with Energy Star standards. Given its extremely compact size, the Veriton N260G saves on material and packaging usage; in addition, it uses recyclable packaging material. The Veriton N260G offers a thoroughly green system.
When used in classrooms the Veriton N260G can be equipped with LANDesk® Classroom Manager, a software that enriches the teaching experience by letting teachers explain lesson directly on students’ computer screens. Plus, it gives the teachers complete control over students’ computers from an easy to use console.
